Parish Warden

Since March 2004 the Parish Council has employed a uniformed Parish Warden, John Franklin.

The Warden’s main areas of work in our community are concerned with:

• Litter and Graffiti removal and prevention

• Youth projects

• Local environmental issues such as lighting, refuse, hedges, roads and pavements

• Active surveillance through patrols around the Parish area.

• Promotion of acceptable behaviour.

To do this work the Warden has to be accessible to local residents and maintains an effective liaison with Milton Keynes Council officers, Thames Valley Police Area Beat Officer and Police Community Support Officer, local schools, MK Parks trust and other such local agencies. He also maintains a strong awareness of the local situation through patrols and contact with the public.

Since the start in 2004 the Warden has made great progress in litter and graffiti reduction, clean up campaigns, activities for local youth including youth club, streetdance, art workshops and basketball and football sessions.
