The Parish Council welcomes community participation and is happy to display posters on the parish noticeboards, subject to meeting the noticeboard policy and space being available. The Parish Council reserves the right not to display any material that does not meet its agreed policy, shown below:-

 

Priority use is for:-

 

Statutory notices for the Parish Council, e.g. agenda, notice of vacancies, audit notices, contact details, etc

 

Secondary is:-

 

Public information – police advice, community safety issues

Public meetings – MKC community consultations, expansion plans etc

Community events – school or church fetes, educational courses etc.

 

The following would not be displayed:-

 

Any “for profit” advertising, businesses etc.

 

Any religious groups – these can be linked through from the website and articles can appear in the newsletter on request. This is on the basis that we cannot cover all requests so will cover none. Also, PC must try to educate to get away from the idea that a parish council is connected to a church.
