Exciting news for Oxley Park!

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully obtained a grant to go towards the installation of additional bollards in Oxley Park!

Each year, Milton Keynes City Council (MKCC) provides parish councils with the opportunity to apply for funding from the Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF) to support local community projects. Parish councils can apply for up to £20,000 from the CIF, with the requirement that any amount applied for is matched funded directly from parish council funds.

Many of you have expressed concerns regarding the poorly designed parking area around the school and local centre. There have been numerous near misses between cars and pedestrians in this area. We have noticed vehicles parking unsafely on the corners of the road for quick access to the shops, which creates visibility issues for both drivers and pedestrians attempting to cross the road.

To address these concerns, we are collaborating with Milton Keynes City Council's Highways department to add extra bollards at the corners to deter inconsiderate and dangerous parking in the area.
