Planning and Development
Milton Keynes Council is the authority responsible for planning applications in the local area, and everyone can view applications and decisions on the Public Access System in the planning portal.
The Parish Council is consulted by the relevant Planning Authority (usually Milton Keynes Council) on all planning applications made within the Parish area.
Views expressed by the Parish Council will be taken into account by the Planning Authority before a decision is made, providing the comments made are relevant to planning guidelines.
Commenting on planning applications
Whilst we are happy to hear from local residents about their views on planning applications, the Parish Council is not the planning authority and we do not have the power to decide planning applications.
If you want to object to an application it is very important that you contact the MKC planning department.
MKC has created a useful FAQ on viewing, commenting and objecting to planning applications that you can view here.
You can view planning applications and register comments through MKC's planning portal:

Oakhill Play Area Proposal
Residents have contacted both Milton Keynes Council and the Parish Council to see if it is possible to have a play area in Oakhill. Following discussions, MKC has identified a site that has sufficient space to accommodate the play area and created a proposed plan.
Following the consultation with residents in March about play area proposals for Oakhill, Milton Keynes Council have redesigned the layout and equipment in line with residents comments.
There will be a planning application put forward for the play area hopefully in the next few weeks and as soon as the details are available we will share these. The revised layout and equipment is shown below.
V2 Grid Road Extension Information
